College Comprehensive Environmental Plan Development

This initiative resulted in the adoption of the Ithaca College Comprehensive Environmental Plan, a set of environmentally-related guidelines for campus departments to follow.

Through the process of gathering input from stakeholders across campus, a consensus was developed regarding the best way to demonstrate Ithaca College's commitment to environmental responsibility while remaining consistent with the college's mission and vision statements.

At the time of its adoption, the plan reflected many of the college's existing programs and set ambitious goals for expanding campus environmental efforts. The Comprehensive Environmental Plan was Ithaca College's first institutional commitment related to environmental responsibility, and since its adoption, the college has significantly increased their sustainability efforts.
